Swim England Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) Course

Who is this qualification for?

The SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification is a practical qualification to start your career in swimming. You must be 16 years of age or older.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 30 hours of learning. Lifetime Validity

  • The role and responsibilities of a Swimming Assistant
  • The participant journey; Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) and Core Aquatic Skills (CAS)
  • The component parts of the strokes
  • The scientific principles in swimming
  • How to create an inclusive environment
  • The purpose of components of a swimming lesson
  • How to support participants and the Swimming Teacher
  • How to demonstrate effective communication skills
  • How to review your own performance

By the end of this course, you will be able to assist a qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher.

Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming Course

Who is this qualification for?

The SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification is a practical qualification for individuals wanting to progress from their SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification. You must be 16 years of age or older

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 62 hours of learning. Lifetime Validity

Swim England Blended Level 1 & 2 Teaching Swimming Course

Who is this qualification for?

The SEQ Blended Level 1 & 2 Teaching Swimming qualification is a practical qualification for individuals with prior experience and a basic knowledge of swimming. This course includes online learning element to be completed before the face-to-face start of qualification. You must be 16 years of age or older

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 62 hours of learning. Lifetime Validity

Swim England Safeguarding Accredited CPD

Who is this qualification for?

Swim England’s Safeguarding CPD is bespoke and reflects the needs of a pool environment to support yours and others safety in swimming. 

You must be 18 years of age or older.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 30 hours of learning.
